Statement of Faith

Sanctuary of the Divine Heart is based on the belief that we are all spirit souls residing within a human body, and that there are multiple paths for these spirits to reconnect with the Divine Creator that is within our own innate Divine nature. We respect and honor a multitude of traditions, including but not limited to certain moral, ethical, and spiritual teachings of Judeo-Christian religions, Buddhism, Taoism, Zen, a host of Hindu religions, Santo Daime, and Umbandaime. We adhere to and teach members and participants about the following beliefs:

1.     We believe in one Divine Creator who has always been and who will always be.

2.     That within each person and every living being there is a soul, and that this soul is eternal and part and parcel of the Divine nature of the Creator.

3.     That souls arrive at this world in order to learn, grow, and develop; to evolve and find their way back onto the Divine Creator, and that the path is through their Divine Heart.

4.     That we are all in this together, and that all living beings will evolve and rise spiritually only when each and every one of us is able to achieve a renewed connection with their Divine nature.

5.     That we are each other’s medicine, which means that we are here to support each other as needed in our spiritual journey and growth.

6.     That our sacrament serves as a divine teacher and prophet to those who engage in its sacramental and ceremonial use. Our sacrament allows us to see eternal truths of the Divine Creator as explained below.

7.     That there are many paths to reconnect with Divinity as presented by a multitude of religions and traditions; from the past to present, from East to West, From South to North, and that so long as a person’s free-will to choose is honored so that they may experience growth, there is no right and wrong path.

8.     That at our core, we are love, and that we have faith, and that in the process of our spiritual growth, we reconnect with our Divine nature to rediscover the power of said love and faith.

9.     That we are each different and unique, and that our differences should be celebrated and honored so that each person may be empowered to grow onto their unique and individual path, accommodated by our work at The Sanctuary and beyond.

10.     That, while different, we are also connected via our Divine Heart, and that we each have a contribution to make towards the growth of the collective human consciousness.

Our Faith Tree, at the center of our work, is composed of symbols from multiple religious and spiritual practices and traditions.

The Faith Tree signifies our core belief that there are many paths for obtaining Union with the Divine, and that each person, individually, may and can pick a path that works best for them at the time.

With assistance from our sacrament, we are able to make a personal connection with the Divine, go deeper, and achieve Union; a Union that brings about growth, and transformation.

“If the light is in your heart, you will find your way home.”
